Network management of educational institutions and networks. Topics include protocols, security, configuration of storage, backup and performance, printing, remote access, virtual private networks, tuning and troubleshooting.
Summary:
During this course, I used a variety of technology tools including the DSU Virtual Machine lab for working with both Windows Server 2016 and 2019. There was a step by step guide provided in the textbook which helped me complete the lab activities. There was also great benefit to completing this course in-person as I was able to ask questions, troubleshoot, and problem solve with other classmates and my professor. As a part of this course, there were 12-chapter exams and 150 chapter lab exercises we completed collectively as a group. This course gave me a new understanding of using this kind of software and made me more comfortable with some of the common network programming tools.
