CET 756 : Introduction to Instructional Programming
DSU - Tina Belden - Fall 2022 - 2 credits
Course Description:
Computer programming to promote human/computer interaction, especially as it applies to students and education. Emphasis on applying fundamental programming concepts and proper programming techniques as used in instructional software development.
Summary:
This course was one of my favorites of the MSET program. We dove head first into many different coding and programming concepts; included vocabulary, coding languages, programming software and other digital resources that taught more about computer science and programming fundamentals. Some of the resources used were: Scratch, Code.org, CodeHS, CS Unplugged, Google GS First, and Mircobits. I was able to then utilize so many of these great resources in my 4th grade technology classroom, as the first hand experience made me feel confident and excited to try this with my learners.Â
