Theater Production Approval Process
Approval Process
The theater director may not make any commitments for the production to students, parents, community members, or other groups until the approval process is completed. A minimum of two (2) weeks must be allowed for the selection to be reviewed by the FA Coordinator and/or Principal/Designee. In the case of an original script being written by students, such as in Theatre II classes or State One-Act, the script must receive approval prior to a public performance.
Step 1: The drama director completes the online form and forwards a copy of or link to the the script to the FA Coordinator. If the director is unable to determine the exact script until auditions, they should submit all potential scripts for approval following the prescribed approval process.
Step 2: The FA coordinator evaluates the selection based on the listed criteria. The FA Coordinator indicates approval or disapproval in the form and returns a copy to the director.
