The question of the use and sharing of technology and data during pandemics
The question of mitigating the spread of HIV/AIDS outbreaks in LEDCs
The question of the implementation of measures against the anti-vaccination movement
The question of efficiently providing humanitarian aid during pandemics
Hi everyone :)
My name is MinJu Kim, and I am currently a senior at the American Embassy School in New Delhi. I was born and raised in South Korea until I moved to India around 9 years ago. My passion for debate sparked when I first joined the MUN club during my freshman year, developing interests in human rights issues, but majorly in health-related issues. Therefore, I am very pleased to be serving as your Head Chair for this year’s World Health Organization committee. Other than MUN, I love to cook delicious Korean cuisine, watch movies, and watch Juventus games. My experiences over the past two years at the IASAS conferences were all exciting, enjoyable, and valuable; I hope I could, as a chair, make your experience the same despite our current situation with the pandemic and virtual conference.
Very excited to meet you all soon!
Greetings delegates! My name is Anagha Chakravarti and I am a senior at the International School Manila. I am from India and have been living in the Philippines for the past 10 years. It is my pleasure to serve as a chair for this year’s IASAS MUN. The great advantage with MUN is that, despite all the ongoing changes, debates can still continue in a virtual format. I have been an active member of the MUN club in my school since Grade 9. To me, diplomacy and debate is very much a lifestyle- one in which you can develop so many essential academic, social, and personal skills. Since my freshman year, I have participated in national and international conferences as a delegate. I have fond memories from all my conferences as I have been able to meet many like minded delegates and grew as a debater. As of last year, I started taking on the role of a chair and a student officer. Apart from MUN, I have actively been a part of my school’s badminton team and love to write for different publications. As the Deputy Chair for the World Health Organization, I strive to encourage constructive debates on humanitarian issues. I am eager to see all the passionate delegates come together to discuss pressing topics and reach insightful conclusions.
