UN4MUN

UN4MUN is a program that was introduced by the UN Department of Public Information (UNDPI) in 2009 to emulate how the real UN operates. The UN4MUN program brings a model developed surrounding the idea of consensus building and diplomacy. In the UN4Mun committee delegates learn to be stronger debaters and negotiators while working alongside their peers to bring affirmative solutions to world issues.

Head Chair: Kai Yuan Mor

Hello everybody! My name is Kai Yuan Mor, but everyone just calls me Kai. I will be serving as the head chair for the UN4MUN committee this year for IASASMUN. I am currently a senior in TAS and have been attending the school since 5th grade. MUN has always been an integral part of my life for me for just over five years now I have been involved in the MUN program throughout my middle and high school years. After attending around a dozen or so conferences as a delegate, chair, and secretariat member, I have had the privilege and opportunity to experience so much in so little time. Besides MUN, I also engage in activities such as the speech and debate program, entrepreneurship club, and many other clubs and activities involving activism and service. Of course, I also fill my fun time with games and work for the most wonderful IB diploma. Moving forward, I look forward to working with everyone within my committee and in the conference itself to aim for a consensus that will please everyone!

Deputy Chair: Fai Tangkaravakoon

Greetings! My name is Fai Tangkaravakoon and I am a senior at Bangkok Patana School. I have been involved in MUN for 3 years and I am delighted at the prospect of serving as the Deputy Chair for UN4MUN! Since I was first introduced to MUN, I have had the opportunity to participate in many conferences as a delegate, chair and secretariat. MUN has been a large part of my day to day activity. It has helped me become more confident and forge many friendships, and I hope you will have the opportunity to do so too. Outside of MUN, I can be found reading, diving and campaigning for the environment. I look forward to meeting everyone (virtually) in November!
