Hi everyone, my name is Diya Nanavati, and I am very excited to be your Head Chair for the HRC committee this year! I am currently a senior at the International School of Kuala Lumpur, and I have been participating in MUN since Grade 7. This will be my fourth IASAS MUN conference, and I can easily say that my MUN experiences have truly shaped my mindset and who I am today. Being a part of MUN has taught me about how to critically analyze current events, explore issues from diverse perspectives, and think outside the box. Apart from MUN, I enjoy other activities such as Ted-Ed, Forensics & Debate (Original Oratory), and refugee community partnerships. By participating in the HRC committee, I hope we will all be able to dive deeper into finding solutions to pressing global issues, ultimately inspiring you to make a greater impact, especially during these unprecedented times. I look forward to working with all of you in November!
Dear fellow MUN participants, my name is Patrick Ledoit and I am a Y12 student at Bangkok Patana School. I joined MUN in Y9 and have enjoyed it ever since. I especially like the challenging questions that come from chairing and the complexity of writing resolutions. I look forward to chairing the HRC and I will try my best to make this conference thought provoking, while keeping it enjoyable. In addition, I look forward to the high level of debate as well as meeting new people.
