I find many clients I have worked with have experienced at least some of the issues on this list
Do you feel your emotions are all over the place?
Do your emotions change frequently?
Do you have trouble sharing and expressing emotion?
Do you wish you better knew what you were feeling?
Would you like to increase positive coping skills?
Do you feel things intensely?
Are you afraid of your emotions?
Do you suppress your emotions?
Do you worry that others might not be able to handle you?
Can you be impulsive? Would you like to learn to slow down?
Do you use alcohol or drugs to get rid of feelings? Do you want to change this?
Difficulty controlling emotion is not necessarily a diagnosis although this challenge is often part of the experience of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, people who've experienced trauma, or people with personality disorders. If you relate to this experience and want to change it there are ways to help.
