Behavioral Activation is a very important strategy for easing depression. Often Depression is a cycle in that you don't feel like doing anything and then you don't do anything which makes you more depressed. While changing the way you think can motivate you to do more things, sometimes simply engaging in activities that you enjoy even when you don't feel like doing them can lift your mood. If you find yourself spending a lot of time in bed at home, or doing the same things all the time engaging in more activity may make you feel better. Some questions to consider are what do you enjoy doing? What have you enjoyed doing in the past, what activities provide a sense of fulfillment and engagement in life? Whats one activity you can try this week that you would like to do?
