What we're learning & doing in class: This week we will be starting a new unit on the Gospels. We will learn about each Gospel writer, their audience, and what each author focused on.

Math

Learning Targets: We will be discussing how to round and graph decimal numbers.

Science

Learning Targets: We will be starting a new part in our unit on "Mixtures and Solutions." We will be learning and making some saturated solutions in class.

Social Studies

Learning Targets: This week we will learn the 13 original colonies of North America. What made each section different and unique?

Assessments: group billboard and presentation due Tuesday

Language Arts

Reading/Writing: This week we will finish reading the book Dash by Kirby Larson, a historical fiction book set in 1942. For most of the lessons, students will write 2 Super Sentences and complete a written response in paragraph form.

Band: This week there will be NO Power Hour. Instead, 5th grade will have full band. Students must have their instruments for both Monday and Tuesday!
