The Career Work Experience Certification (CWEC) is for students working toward an Alternative Diploma and is comprised of four courses, taken in consecutive order. Each course requires 40 hours of Work-Based Learning. Students must complete all four courses in the order shown below and meet benchmarks on the ESAR to achieve Career Readiness.
1st Course: Developing Career Options (Grades 9-14)
2nd Course: Developing Leadership Skills (Grades 9-14)
3rd Course: Experience in Workplace Principles (Grades 9-14)
4th Course: Individualized Career Work Experience (Grades 11-14)
