Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are hosted in person on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Conferences are drop-in visits with teachers located in the RVHS Main Gym and Small Gym and will be limited to five minutes. If you believe your conference requires more than five minutes, please feel free to reach out to teachers directly to schedule an alternate day/time to connect.
Conferences provide a great opportunity for you and your student to meet with teachers and learn about their strengths, accomplishments, and areas of improvement. We encourage all students and parents to attend and we hope to see you there!
If you are not able to meet with one of your student’s teachers during conferences on Wednesday, February 18th, please email them to schedule an appointment for an alternate day/time.
***PTSA will be providing dinner for teachers. Please click here to access the Sign Up Genius if you would like to make a contribution. Thank you!***

Register for 2026-27 School Year
If you have not yet logged into Enroll Jeffco to register your child(ren) for the next school year, we strongly encourage you to do so as soon as possible. It is very important that all families indicate their plans for the upcoming school year—even if you plan to return to your current school.
Accurate enrollment information is essential for our school as we plan for staffing, classroom resources, and programming. The more accurate our numbers are now, the better we can support students and families next school year.
Please visit www.enrolljeffco.org to register your child(ren) and confirm your plans for the 2026–27 school year. Need help accessing your account? Families who have forgotten their username or password can use the Personal Account Manager to regain access.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this important step and for helping us plan for a successful school year.

Please reach out to Mike Ackerman for more information.
It is a great time to remind everyone to be thoughtful of our neighbors and student body during drop off and pick up. We must keep the right of way clear for emergency vehicles and through traffic. With only one road to enter and exit a building this size, with this many people, the roads at the school will always be congested. There are a few things we can do as a Ralston Valley community to help make these busy times of day run as smoothly as possible.
Main Entrance - Dismissal is at 3:30 p.m. and we ask that you do not arrive to pick up your student and park in the loop before 3:00 p.m. Please be sure to pull as far forward as you can in the loop at the front of the school when dropping off or picking up your student. This helps to alleviate backups in the roundabout and get as many cars off of 80th Ave. as quickly as possible. Also, please pick up your student on the outside of the loop (closest the the sidewalk), not the inside. We do not want students passing in between cars as this is not safe.
Student Parking Lot - To keep our students safe, please do not park in our student parking lot while you wait to pick up your student(s) after school.
Roundabout on 80th- The roundabout is part of the road. Please do not park in the roundabout while waiting for dismissal time. This blocks the flow of eastbound traffic and prevents traffic exiting to the east from leaving campus as well. Please do not stop and pick up your student in the roundabout or on 80th Ave.
Fire Station - As traffic backs up on southbound Alkire, please be sure to leave room for our first responders to exit the firehouse safely and without obstruction. Do not block the exit of their garage.
82nd Ave. - Please pay attention to posted road signs along 82nd Ave. There are multiple speedbumps on 82nd Ave., making it necessary to go the speed limit or slower to ensure safe driving and prevent damage to your vehicle. There are also multiple No Parking signs along 82nd Ave. next to the school's property. Please do not park there to pick up your student.
Finally, and most importantly, please do not park across the street and ask for your student to run across 80th Ave. to be picked up. This is highly dangerous and we have shared with students that this is not permitted!
Thank you for your continued diligence when driving in and around Ralston Valley.
Traffic Reminders from Arvada Police Department
Please do NOT stop or park in the roundabout on W 80th Ave. until the car line begins to move/flow. Those waiting on the south side of W 80th Ave. just west of the roundabout need to wait there until they see the line begin to move. This usually takes a few minutes after the bell rings so please be patient. Those who attempt to stop or park in the roundabout before the line begins to move will not be allowed to stay there and will be directed to move (by continuing east) or will be ticketed by Arvada PD. This is essential for efficient traffic flow and will help the pick-up process run smoothly. It also helps to keep that area clear for emergency vehicles.

National Letter of Intent Ceremony
Congratulations to the 15 Mustang student-athletes who signed this past week, officially committing to continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level! This is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to their hard work, discipline, and commitment over the years.
We are incredibly proud of the standard they have set and the way they have raised the bar for future Mustangs to aspire to. As they take on the next challenge in their journeys as college student-athletes, we wish them nothing but success in the classroom, in competition, and beyond!

Senior Girls Divers
We want to extend a sincere apology to our senior divers for accidentally excluding them last week in our Swim & Dive section of the newsletter. Our senior divers are an important part of the teams tradition, and their dedication, leadership, and commitment have played a meaningful role in setting the standard for Mustang Swim and Dive. We are grateful for their contributions and were proud to recognize them alongside teammates and families at the Standley Lake meet.
Girls Basketball - The Mustang girls basketball team continues to roll, putting together an impressive stretch of dominant performances. Last weekend, they took control early and never looked back against cross-town rival Arvada West, earning a decisive 62-47 victory from start to finish.
They carried that momentum into the week with two more convincing wins—68-35 over Bear Creek and 59-38 over Lakewood—showcasing their depth, defensive intensity, and unselfish team play. This group continues to set the tone with disciplined execution on both ends of the floor.
The Mustangs will look to keep their momentum going this weekend as they travel to Chatfield, with the opportunity to extend their winning streak to eight games. Best of luck as you continue to raise the bar!
Boys Basketball - The boys basketball team faced its first setback of the season last weekend, dropping a tightly contested, hard-fought game on the road at Arvada West, 45-42. Despite the result, the performance reflected the toughness and resilience that has defined this group all season.
The Mustangs responded exactly the way strong teams do—by bouncing back with purpose. They followed up with decisive wins over Bear Creek (72-45) and Lakewood (85-34), re-establishing their rhythm with relentless defense, efficient offense, and great energy on both ends of the floor.
They’ll look to keep that momentum rolling this Saturday as they travel to Chatfield, entering the final two weeks of the regular season focused, hungry, and continuing to raise the bar.
Wrestling - Last weekend, the Mustang wrestlers took on the best of the 5A Jeffco League at the league championships hosted by Pomona High School, competing with toughness and determination throughout the tournament. The Mustangs were led by strong individual performances, with Wyatt Smith earning a second-place finish, while Jack Klug and Isaak Torres each battled their way to third place in their respective weight classes.
The team now turns its focus to the next phase of the post-season, traveling to Eaton for a tournament this weekend as final preparation before regionals next weekend at Horizon High School. With state tournament berths on the line, the Mustangs will look to continue raising the bar and competing at a high level when it matters most.
Girls Swim and Dive - The girls swim and dive team is currently competing at the 5A Jeffco League Championships at the Arvada Aquatics Center, stepping into a moment they have been preparing for all season. With a league title to defend, the Mustangs are bringing confidence, focus, and championship-level intensity into every race and dive.
So far, the Mustangs had an outstanding showing in prelims, placing the maximum four athletes into the top 10 in nearly every event, a testament to the program’s depth and consistency across the lineup.
In diving, the Mustangs also competed well, with Kara Sundbye earning a 5th-place finish, Addy Dickerson placing 6th, Hailey Rabbit finishing 10th, and Lucy Bashford rounding out the field in 13th. Overall, it was a strong showing as the team continues to raise the bar in postseason competition.
We wish them the best as they compete in the pool—trust the training, support one another, and continue to raise the bar as they chase another league championship!
Hockey - The RVHS hockey team split a pair of competitive games last weekend, earning an impressive 7–4 victory over Chaparral on Friday before dropping a hard-fought battle to Regis Jesuit, 6–4. Both games showcased the Mustangs’ offensive firepower and willingness to compete against quality opponents as they continue to prepare for post-season play.
This weekend, the Mustangs close out the regular season with two challenging matchups against top-10 teams. On Friday, they travel to Mountain Vista to take on the Eagles, followed by a road trip north on Saturday to face the Poudre School District team. These games will serve as valuable tests as the team sharpens its play heading into the playoffs.
Stay tuned for the release of the hockey playoff brackets to see who the Mustangs will match up against as the post-season begins.
Tickets - Game tickets must be purchased through GoFan for all Jeffco-hosted events. Ticket sales to all Jeffco events in stadiums and in our gym are available through GoFan. Cash is not accepted at the gates for admittance. You are encouraged to download the GoFan App to help you purchase tickets ahead of time for all home events to save you a ton of time at the gate. You can also purchase multiple tickets that are good for the rest of the school year by purchasing a punch pass. Punch passes are good for all Jeffco events, and will save you money.
