RVHS Graduation
Thank you to our staff, faculty and community for a successful ceremony.
Graduation from high school is an important milestone in the lives of students and their families. The graduation ceremony is a dignified occasion, a time of celebration. Courteous and considerate behavior will allow everyone in attendance to recognize the achievement of each graduate and ensure this is a ceremony that all will treasure as a memorable event.
Graduation for the class of 2022 will take place Friday, May 20, 2022 at 9:00 am at the National Western Stock Show Stadium Arena. Click here to access a map of facility. The ceremony starts promptly at 9am and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
Due to change in venue, live streaming is no longer available.
Thank you for adhering to the following guidelines, designed to reflect the seriousness and dignity inherent in the occasion:
Attire Under the Gown
Dresses/Skirts that do not hang below the gown (flat collars, not a turtleneck style, are recommended).
-or-
Long or short sleeve, collared, light colored shirts with tie and dress trousers (preferably, for pictures, dark colored).
Shoes
Comfortable shoes, be mindful of dignity inherent in the occasion.
Shoes that may damage the track or turf are not permitted. Only wedged heels to protect track and turf surfaces.
Jewelry and Corsages
Inconspicuous, if any.
No corsages on the gown are permitted.
ALL graduates must wear the authorized graduation cap, gown, and tassel. In addition, graduates may wear only school issued honor cords and two academic medals (if earned). Students should not add any other accessories, decorations, or carry any placards, posters or any other paraphernalia that might distract from the ceremony.
Graduation caps should not be decorated or embellished. Dress attire under the gown should comply with all school dress code guidelines and should reflect the importance and dignity of the occasion (i.e. dress shirts and slacks with dress shoes or dresses/dress attire and dress shoes).
Graduates must not engage in any acts of rowdiness, noisy behavior, or misconduct.
Graduates must conduct themselves properly before, during, and immediately following the ceremony so the ceremony will be meaningful to everyone in attendance.
