Schedule Change: Wednesday, January 28th
On Wednesday, January 28th, Ralston Valley will provide time for students to take the Annual Jeffco Student Engagement Survey. In order to limit classroom disruptions and provide time and space for students to participate in this survey, Wednesday's bell schedule has been slightly adjusted. Students will take the survey in Block 3. If this is their off block they can access the survey via their Jeffco device.

EnrollJeffco: 2026-27 School Year
If you have not yet logged into Enroll Jeffco to register your child(ren) for the next school year, we strongly encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Round 2 of enrollment is now open, and it is very important that all families indicate their plans for the upcoming school year—even if you plan to return to your current school.
Accurate enrollment information is essential for our school as we plan for staffing, classroom resources, and programming. The more accurate our numbers are now, the better we can support students and families next school year.
Please visit www.enrolljeffco.org to register your child(ren) and confirm your plans for the 2026–27 school year. Need help accessing your account? Families who have forgotten their username or password can use the Personal Account Manager to regain access.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this important step and for helping us plan for a successful school year.

Advertise your business with us! We have digital and static signage options available within a variety of sponsorship packages on our new video board in the gym. Please reach out to Mike Ackerman for more information.
It is a great time to remind everyone to be thoughtful of our neighbors and student body during drop off and pick up. We must keep the right of way clear for emergency vehicles and through traffic. With only one road to enter and exit a building this size, with this many people, the roads at the school will always be congested. There are a few things we can do as a Ralston Valley community to help make these busy times of day run as smoothly as possible.
Main Entrance - Dismissal is at 3:30 p.m. and we ask that you do not arrive to pick up your student and park in the loop before 3:00 p.m. Please be sure to pull as far forward as you can in the loop at the front of the school when dropping off or picking up your student. This helps to alleviate backups in the roundabout and get as many cars off of 80th Ave. as quickly as possible. Also, please pick up your student on the outside of the loop (closest the the sidewalk), not the inside. We do not want students passing in between cars as this is not safe.
Student Parking Lot - To keep our students safe, please do not park in our student parking lot while you wait to pick up your student(s) after school.
Roundabout on 80th- The roundabout is part of the road. Please do not park in the roundabout while waiting for dismissal time. This blocks the flow of eastbound traffic and prevents traffic exiting to the east from leaving campus as well. Please do not stop and pick up your student in the roundabout or on 80th Ave.
Fire Station - As traffic backs up on southbound Alkire, please be sure to leave room for our first responders to exit the firehouse safely and without obstruction. Do not block the exit of their garage.
82nd Ave. - Please pay attention to posted road signs along 82nd Ave. There are multiple speedbumps on 82nd Ave., making it necessary to go the speed limit or slower to ensure safe driving and prevent damage to your vehicle. There are also multiple No Parking signs along 82nd Ave. next to the school's property. Please do not park there to pick up your student.
Finally, and most importantly, please do not park across the street and ask for your student to run across 80th Ave. to be picked up. This is highly dangerous and we have shared with students that this is not permitted!
Thank you for your continued diligence when driving in and around Ralston Valley.
Traffic Reminders from Arvada Police Department
Please do NOT stop or park in the roundabout on W 80th Ave. until the car line begins to move/flow. Those waiting on the south side of W 80th Ave. just west of the roundabout need to wait there until they see the line begin to move. This usually takes a few minutes after the bell rings so please be patient. Those who attempt to stop or park in the roundabout before the line begins to move will not be allowed to stay there and will be directed to move (by continuing east) or will be ticketed by Arvada PD. This is essential for efficient traffic flow and will help the pick-up process run smoothly. It also helps to keep that area clear for emergency vehicles.
Come join us this Saturday, January 24th, at 5:00 p.m., in the RV auditorium for the Colorado Music Educator Association (CMEA) send off concert for our Chamber Orchestra. This concert will give our talented Mustang musicians a dress rehearsal before they perform on the stage at the Broadmoor in February. Let's pack the house!

Girls Swim and Dive - The Ralston Valley Girls Swim Team delivered a championship-level performance last weekend by capturing 1st place at the Jeffco Invite, scoring an impressive 661 points against a highly competitive field of 19 teams. The Mustangs showcased depth and consistency across the entire lineup, recording numerous season-best and personal-best swims, along with multiple state-qualifying times and scores.
The Mustang divers also had an outstanding showing, with every diver advancing to the finals and finishing within the top 19 of the field—a true testament to the strength of the entire program. As a team, they continue to improve with each meet while keeping their focus on the upcoming league championship and postseason success.
Next up, the Mustangs will honor their seniors this Saturday at a home meet against Standley Lake, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Arvada Aquatics Center. Let’s pack the pool and celebrate our seniors!
Hockey - After a challenging stretch against some of the top competition in the state, the Mustang hockey team is ready to respond as they take the ice for a big weekend of games. The Mustangs will celebrate Senior Night tonight at the Apex, honoring those seniors who have helped build the foundation of the program, before facing Dakota Ridge with puck drop set for 8:00 p.m. following the ceremony at 7:45 p.m.
The action continues tomorrow night as RV battles Castle View at 7:45 pm, again at the Apex. With energy, urgency, and pride, the Mustangs are looking to turn momentum back in their favor. Good luck, boys—let’s pack the rink and support RV hockey!
Girls Basketball - The Lady Mustangs continue to compete with intensity, confidence, and resilience, showing noticeable growth and team chemistry each week. In their most recent matchup, they went toe-to-toe with Columbine, battling hard from start to finish before ultimately coming up short.
Despite the outcome, the night was highlighted by a truly remarkable performance from Santana Sabus, who poured in 50 points to lead the Mustangs—one of the highest single-game scoring performances in school history. Her effort was a testament to the team’s determination and competitive spirit, and it reflects the continued progress this group is making as they push forward together.
They’re back in action tonight at home against Lakewood at 7:30 pm, then head to Colorado Springs on Saturday to take on Doherty High School.
Boys Basketball - The Mustang boys are in the midst of a truly outstanding season. Currently ranked #2 in the state and still undefeated, Ralston Valley has established itself as one of the premier programs in Colorado, dominating on both ends of the floor with relentless defensive pressure and a fast-paced, explosive offense.
The Mustangs recently delivered a statement win over Valor Christian, rolling to a 65–36 victory, and followed it up with another impressive performance this week against Columbine, earning a 62–43 win. Night after night, this group continues to play with discipline, toughness, and confidence, making it clear that their success is no accident.
Next up, the Mustangs hit the road to take on Lakewood tonight, followed by another tough matchup at ThunderRidge on Saturday. This team continues to raise the bar, protect the standard, and represent Ralston Valley with pride.
Wrestling - Last weekend at the Saber Cat Invitational, the Mustangs competed with toughness and determination, putting together a strong showing across both the JV and varsity levels. Several wrestlers earned medals as a result of their hard work, including JV silver medalists Eric Ekborg at 120 pounds and Landon Tafoya at 126 pounds, along with Isaak Wilkins, who captured a bronze medal at 120 pounds on the varsity side. Adding to the excitement, freshman Taawin Yip earned the first win of his wrestling career, a big milestone for both him and the program.
The momentum continued on Thursday night at the Mustang Range, where RV wrestling delivered a dominant 61–12 victory over Palmer on Senior Night. The Mustangs controlled the match from start to finish, highlighted by a pin from senior Hudson Dillow, as the team showcased depth, intensity, and growth across the lineup.
Tickets - Game tickets must be purchased through GoFan for all Jeffco-hosted events. Ticket sales to all Jeffco events in stadiums and in our gym are available through GoFan. Cash is not accepted at the gates for admittance. You are encouraged to download the GoFan App to help you purchase tickets ahead of time for all home events to save you a ton of time at the gate. You can also purchase multiple tickets that are good for the rest of the school year by purchasing a punch pass. Punch passes are good for all Jeffco events, and will save you money.

Make-A-Wish Week 2026
It's been a fantastic Wish Week at Ralston Valley!
Over the last 14 years as a community, we have raised $634,933.64, which is about 84 wishes granted!
Our goal for 2026 is to reach the 100-WISH MARK! To achieve this century of hope, our goal is to raise at least $120,000, which will fund 16 life-changing wishes! RV's Wish Kid for 2026 is 10-year-old Lily, a student at Van Arsdale Elementary. Lily's wish is to travel to Walt Disney World and see Animal Kingdom.
Last call for the Silent Auction is tonight, Friday, January 23, at 11:59 p.m. This link is the main donation site.
Students and staff celebrated hat day and sent cupcake grams during lunches, and wore animal print and safari gear while collecting coins for penny stalls in third block classes. Students, staff, and community got to meet Lily and her family at the assembly on Thursday, and dressed as Disney characters to close out the week. Make-A-Wish is a special part of being a Mustang!
