I am a lifelong resident of the south side of Chicago who has lived in the 22nd police district for over twenty years. I am the proud mother of four young adults. I am a proud graduate of Morgan Park High School and have been the chair of the Local School Council for the past ten years. I am a community organizer and founding member of local nonprofits whose missions have been to serve our youth, women and the most underserved of our residents. As a healthcare professional, I have worked to bring equitable healthcare to Chicago’s most vulnerable. I love Chicago.

My love for Chicago means that we are honest about issues that impact our great city.  Chicago has a tremendous responsibility to build systems that create more effective policing and safer communities. District Councils give us the unique opportunity to increase public safety by having a voice in police accountability and building trust between CPD and the people they serve. As a staunch advocate for health and educational equity and safe communities, I wholeheartedly believe that to fully tackle all forms of violence in our neighborhoods, we must all be engaged.

My goal as a member of the 22nd Police District Council is to ensure that our residents feel heard, respected, and empowered. My experience as a public servant has provided me with the resources to ensure that the spirit in which district councils was created is carried out. Our collective work will help bring healing to Chicago.
