NEWS & UPDATES

  • We welcome mural artist, Bren Bataclan, to WJES this week! Bren Bataclan is known for teaching kindness through art. He will be at WJES all week working with students and painting a mural in the lunchroom.

  • Remember that Friday, November 18th is a teacher work day and the beginning of the Thanksgiving Break for students. We are so very THANKFUL for our WJES families and Panther community! We wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Break!

  • If your child plans to eat breakfast at school please ensure they are here early and able to be in line by 7:30. This allows them to eat and return to class on time.

  • We have many lost items in our 'Lost & Found'. Please be sure to label your child's belongings so that if they end up in the 'Lost & Found', they can easily be returned to their owners.

School spotlight: Veterans Day

We had a great celebration on Friday recognizing our Panther community members who are veterans and active service members. Thank you to our amazing music teacher, Mrs. Cleveland, for organizing this wonderful event and to our PTO for hosting the reception for our veterans and guests! You can view the recording of our event below.

THE 7 MINDSETS

The We are Connected mindset teaches us that everyone who comes into our lives can help us to achieve and live our dreams. Working with, for, and through others is crucial to realizing our dreams. When you understand this and constantly seek the positives from relationships with others, your performance in every area of your life improves. In the lessons for this mindset, we help students explore synergies with others, embrace diversity, and relish the competition that will allow them to maximize their potential by working with and through others.
