NEWS & UPDATES
The Georgia Parent Survey was developed to measure parent perceptions of school climate at your child's school. Your opinion is very important to us. Your survey responses are confidential and will be combined with the survey responses of other parents/guardians at your child's school to identify areas in need of improvement. It should only take ten or fifteen minutes to complete the survey. Thank you for your time and participation. Click HERE to take the survey.
If you are the parent of a rising 6th grader, please visit our district website for important information.

Legacy Youth Mentoring Luncheon
Legacy Youth Mentoring celebrated our amazing West Jackson Elementary mentoring group with a delicious lunchoen on Friday! Legacy Youth Mentoring is a friendship-based, in school, youth mentoring program for Jackson County, Jefferson City, and Commerce City School Systems. They train and match volunteers with students who will benefit from the encouragement and guidance of mentors.
The Attitude of Gratitude Mindset teaches us the importance of seeking the positives from every experience and being thankful for all that we have. Through this mindset, we learn that we can use the positives or the negatives of our lives as the foundation on which to build. Choose the positives, and we are on our way toward extraordinary success; choose the negatives, and we embark on path toward disappointment, resentment, and suffering. In these lessons, we guide students to focus on all the things they have, leaving no time to be distracted by what they don’t.
