REMINDER! No school for students on March 13th and 14th
THANK YOU for a FANTASTIC Glow Run on Friday! It was so much fun for all! We are very grateful for our PTO, staff, and Boosterthon folks who helped make it such a great experience for our students. Thank you to all families who came out to help and support us.
It's WJES Career Week! We will be celebrating with some dress-up days all week! (See dates below)
We are excited to welcome Jeff Mather, Artist-in-Residence, starting March 15th- March 30th! He will meet all students in a schoolwide assembly on March 15th, then continue imagining and designing sculptures with 1st graders for their garden space until the end of the month! Check out his amazing work at other schools on his Facebook page, Mather Site Art and make plans to see our new 1st grade garden art at the WJES Spring Arts Festival, March 30th, from 4-7pm.

Spotlight: Young Georgia Authors District Winner
Congratulations to Olivia Gao for being selected as the kindergarten winner of the Jackson County District Young Georgia Author's Competition! Her writing piece titled "Unicorn Kindness" will continue into the RESA competition, with state winners announced by March 23rd! We are so proud of you Olivia!
School Spotlight: New Playground Piece
We are so excited to have our new playground equipment installed! This was purchased with PTO funds from the Boosterthon last year. Thank you to The Copponex Group for helping make this playground piece happen!
Spotlight: Science Olympiad
We are so proud of all our WJES Panthers who competed in the Science Olympiad Regional Tournament on Saturday, March 11th. Our team placed in 3 events; Data Crunchers, Paper Rockets, and Metric Mastery!! Way to go, Panthers!
