Good Luck to our Science Olympiad Team who will be competing in the Elementary Science Olympiad Regional Tournament on Saturday, March 11th!
We are excited to welcome Jeff Mather, Artist-in-Residence, starting March 15th- March 30th! He will meet all students in a schoolwide assembly on March 15th, then continue imagining and designing sculptures with 1st graders for their garden space until the end of the month! Check out his amazing work at other schools on his Facebook page, Mather Site Art and make plans to see our new 1st grade garden art at the WJES Spring Arts Festival, March 30th, from 4-7pm.

School Spotlight: Young Georgia Authors Writitng contest
We are excited to announce this year's WJES winners of the Young Georgia Authors Writing Contest. These students' masterpieces were chosen by a committee of judges as the top entries for their grade levels of 200+ students! Their work has now advanced to the next competition level and will be judged against writing pieces from each of the elementary schools in Jackson County. Join us in giving a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to these awesome writers!
