Week of May 15th
NEWS & UPDATES
It's hard to believe we are headed into our last full week for this school year. These last 7 days are filled with field days, celebrations, fun learning experiences, and more. If you are visiting our school for any of these events, please be aware that you MUST check in at the front office each time you visit our school. Bring your Photo ID and wear your visitor pass while on our campus. This includes all outdoor events as well. Thank you for helping us keep our school safe!
All library books must be returned this week! A notice will be coming home with students that still have library books checked out by the middle of this week.
Summer is just around the corner, and that means it's time to start thinking about summer reading. Reading is a great way to keep your mind engaged and stay entertained during the summer months. We are excited to announce the JCSS Summer Reading BINGO Challenge! Click HERE to view the board. Printed copies of the BINGO board will be coming home soon.
Lost and found items will be available for parents to look through during field days and award celebrations. Please stop by to find any lost items before we donate them!

This Thursday, May 18th is School Speech Pathologist Day!
WJES is so grateful for these three amazing ladies!
Thank you to Mrs. Arnold, Mrs. Gildemeyer, and Mrs. Leigh for all that you do!
Field day is this week!
Field Day begins at 9:00 AM for all grade levels
Field day concessions will be held each afternoon! Prices for concessions start at $1 (candy, chips, drinks). The Flavor Ice truck will also be with us and selling shaved ice for $4 each, and it’s a good sized cup! Students will have a variety of flavors to choose from- cotton candy, blue raspberry, cherry and more!
Cash only for all concessions, and we recommend sending your child’s money in a baggie or envelope with their name and specifying if you’re getting a shaved ice.
