AHS students who are representing AHS in school athletics and activities must ride the district provided means of transportation to and from the events. Only when absolutely necessary, a parent/grandparent may make prior arrangements to pick up a student after an event. The parent/grandparent must make arrangements through the high school administration and personally meet the coach or advisor to pick up and sign out the student.
If a bus traveling on a school night is scheduled to return after 11:00 p.m., the bus will not be able to stop until reaching Aitkin.
Sunflower seeds are not allowed on any school bus, due to the mess that they create.
All drinks on the bus MUST be in a closable container (water bottle, pop bottles, juice bottles).
Please do not use the juice boxes or juice pouches on the buses.
Bus drivers will provide a bag for all trash, it is the responsibility of the students/coaches riding the bus to clean up the bus.
The BUS DRIVER will dispose of all trach in the bus garage’s dumpster upon returning from a trip.
PLEASE DO NOT FILL UP THE CAN AT THE NORTH ENTRY WITH THIS GARBAGE.
The last two seats on a bus (one on each side) are to be kept unoccupied if at all possible. The intent is to protect the students in the event of a rear end collision.
