Head Coaches will be sent a link and asked to complete a survey similar to the survey provided below at the conclusion of their season.

Athletic Coaches/Advisors Evaluation Procedures
The following forms represent appraisal instruments for coaching evaluations. The basic purpose of
these forms are the improvement of instruction that students receive. Other objectives of an appraisal
the evaluation system is as follows:
a) To afford an opportunity to identify, recognize and praise quality coaching and instruction
b) To provide an opportunity to identify potential leadership and provide feedback for growth
c) To create a culture to achieve individual improvement through the development of the program
d) To identify factors that interfere with a coach's overall contribution to the growth of students
e) To assure that quality coaching is a responsibility shared by the entire coaching staff and the
athletic administrator
The following procedures are to be observed in the use of these forms and steps:
a) The activities director will conduct evaluations of head coaches in colaboration with the high school principal.
a. 2-3 per season walkthroughs per sport
b. Record notes for final evaluation
c. Fill out a postseason evaluation
b) The head coach will conduct evaluations of assistant coaches
c) Evaluations are to be completed within two-to four-weeks following the conclusion of the season
d) A coach is encouraged to fill out a self-evaluation prior conference meeting
e) The final step is a conference with the coach, athletic director with the cooperation principal to review the written evaluation.
Renewing/Non Renewing/Resigning:
Each fiscal school year the Activities Director will submit a list of coaches/advisors for renewal for the next fiscal school year. School board will approve all renewals.
Coaches/advisors wishing to not continue renewal contract position, must send a letter of resignation to the activities director. The Activities Director will present the resignation to the school board for approval.
Non-Renewal Contracts Process:
Activities Director must notify the coaches/advisors within 14 days of decision made to not renew.
Coaches/Advisors have a right to receive, in writing, the list of reasons for the nonrenewal within 10 days of receiving the non renewal notice.
The school board must also provide coaches/advisors the opportunity to appeal the decision and respond to the rationale behind the non-renewal.
Evaluations, notes, and other documents will be available in a private setting, as data practice laws allow.
The School Board will approve the non-renewal of coach/advisor for the next fiscal year.
