It is the responsibility and obligation of the school district to staff its co-curricular programs. Staff will be assigned as equitably as possible to correspond with student participation, program levels, and conference, region, or state standards subject to available resources and budget.
In the event that staffing positions needed to add or eliminate due to district budget reductions or adding a position of needs. Should contact the AD to request at District office.
All coaches are expected to remain involved for the length of their season.
Lump-sum payments will be distributed in November, March, and May. Checks will be a mailed or direct deposit, please visit our payroll person for further questions.
Coaches/Advisors are encouraged to attend a clinic, conference, or workshop in their activity. A portion of the expenses may be paid by the district. District Staff development forms can be turned into the Activities Office.
Coaches/Advisors Association: Coaches/Advisors are encouraged to join the state associations, individual sport associations as well as the local association and to be active members.
Coaches Evaluation: The sole purpose of the coaches evaluation system is to improve the quality of our activity programs by recognizing and encouraging the use of successful coaching practices and techniques. The evaluation will be based upon observations made at practices and contests during the season, compliance with ISD 001 policies, and personal relationships with student athletes, colleagues and parents.
The original evaluation will be kept on file in the activities office and copies will be distributed to each coach, Director of personnel and the high school principal.
