Another group of birds are the Water Waders. They are birds that live in lakes, swamps, and marshes. Some include Ducks, Swans, Geese, Pelicans, Herons, Cranes, Egrets, and Ibises. These birds live on the smaller water bodies. They have either claws( For some of them, like Egrets, like to perch on trees too), or webbed feet(To swim). They all hunt fish. They are the birds with the longer necks, and longer beaks.
The Crane, Egret, and Heron all use the same method of hunting. They see fish, and quickly pick them up with their long beaks. They strike very fast, so they don't scare the fish away.
The pelican dives into the water to hunt. It stores the fish in the pouch in it's beak.
Ducks, Swans, and Geese dive into the water, and swim to hunt fish. They will also occasionally eat grass.
