Flamingos

Flamingos are beautiful birds, with a vibrant pink body. They can fly very well, but stay on land a lot too. They love water, as they are seen in lakes and rivers. Flamingos feed on fish and insects, but also plants, making them omnivores.They also eat mollusks. They have long necks, a lot like ostriches, and have a curved bill. People say that flamingos get their vibrant pink color from the food they eat. There are chemicals called pigments, which give them the pink shade. Different species of Flamingos include The Greater Flamingo, The Lesser Flamingo, and the American Flamingo.
