本学教養学部4年の鈴木りゆか（すずきりゆか、メジャー：ジェンダー・セクシュアリティ研究、マイナー：政治学）さんが、日本政府代表団のユース代表として、3⽉11⽇（月）〜22⽇（金）にニューヨークの国連本部で開催された第68回国連女性の地位委員会（CSW68）に参加しました。
CSW68は「ジェンダーの視点からの貧困撲滅、機構強化、資金動員によるジェンダー平等達成と女性・女児のエンパワーメントの加速」を優先テーマに開催され、会期中は一般討論、閣僚級円卓会合、インタラクティブ・ダイアローグなどが行われます。鈴木さんはCSW68の公式会合にてスピーチするなど、日本政府代表団のユース代表として活躍しました。

東京都では200を越える企業・団体とともに、エシカル消費を推進するプロジェクト「TOKYOエシカル」を実施しています。2024年1月、ICU SDGs推進室がパートナー団体として新たにプロジェクトに参加することとなりました！今後はTOKYOエシカルが主催するイベントへの参加や他の参加企業・団体との連携を通じ、学内外のエシカル消費推進およびSDGs達成に向けた取り組みのさらなる推進を目指します。
As of January 2024, the ICU SDGs Promotion Office has joined the "TOKYO Ethical" project, which promotes ethical consumption, as a new partner organization!In the future, we aim to further promote ethical consumption and efforts to achieve the SDGs both on and off campus by participating in "TOKYO Ethical" events and collaborating with other participating organizations.

2023年12月8日、第26回人権セミナー「キャンパスハラスメントの防止について - ジェンダー・セクシャルハラスメント防止を中心に」が開催されました。このセミナーは、人権にかかわる啓発活動や相談活動を行っている本学の人権委員会と人権相談員連絡会が、毎年世界人権デー（12月10日）の前後に開催しています。
今年度は、公益財団法人21世紀職業財団 客員講師の清水知子氏を講師として迎えました。清水氏はキャンパスにおけるセクシュアルハラスメントを中心に、その特徴や背景、なぜ問題なのか、ケーススタディ、そしてキャンパスの全構成員が被害者にも加害者にも傍観者にもならないための防止策を講じました。
On December 8, 2023, the 26th Human Rights Seminar, entitled "Prevention of Harassment on Campus: With a Focus on the Prevention of Gender and Sexual Harassment" was held. This seminar is held every year around Human Rights Day (December 10) by the ICU Human Rights Committee and the Human Rights Advisory Board, which conduct educational activities and counseling regarding human rights.
This year's speaker was Tomoko Shimizu, a visiting lecturer at the Japan Institute for Women's Empowerment & Diversity Management. Ms. Shimizu's lecture focused on sexual harassment on campus, where she talked about the characteristics, background, and why sexual harassment is an issue, referring to case studies, and preventive measures so that all members on campus can avoid becoming victims, perpetrators, or bystanders.

本学教養学部4年の大澤彩さん（おおさわ あや、メジャー：法学、マイナー：開発学）、渡部葵さん（わたなべ あおい、メジャー：国際関係学）、赤名裕大さん（あかな ゆうだい、メジャー：国際関係学、マイナー：経営学）が、8月25日に開催された2023模擬国連人権理事会UPR （普遍的・定期的レビュー）*1大会に出場し、優勝しました。Aya Osawa (Major/Minor: Law/Development Studies), Aoi Watanabe (Major: International Relations), and Yudai Akana (Major/Minor: International Relations/Business), all 4th-year students at International Christian University, participated in the 2023 Model United Nations Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review (UPR) held on August 25, 2023. Representing Japan as the State under Review, the team of three won the first prize of the Outstanding Delegation Awards.

ベネズエラのカカオ生産・チョコ作りワークショップを開催

7月4日（火）、ICU学生による SDGｓ推進室フェアトレードプロジェクトチームが「ベネズエラのカカオ生産・チョコ作りワークショップ」を開催しました。イベント前半は、ラクパイ株式会社 代表アレックス氏より、ベネズエラのカカオ生産についてのレクチャーを受けました。レクチャーでは、世界でのカカオ消費の現状から、実際に取引をしているベネズエラのカカオ生産者の生活の様子に至るまで、多岐に渡るお話を聞くことができました。その中でも、ベネズエラの大学の支援によって、カカオ栽培の方法が改善され、それによりカカオの品質向上と取引拡大が成されたこと、その結果として、生産者の生活レベルも向上した、というお話がありました。イベント後半は、実際にベネズエラ産カカオを使用してチョコレート作りを行いました。カカオ豆に直に触れるのが初めての経験である参加者も多く、外側の殻を砕き、チョコレートの原料となる中身のカカオニブとよばれる部分を取り出すのに苦労する場面もみられました。
環境研究ポスターセッションが行われました

6月9日～14日まで、久しぶりに対面で、一般教育科目「環境研究」のポスターセッションが行われています。場所は4月にオープンしたばかりのトロイヤー記念アーツ・サイエンス館の交流スペース「ハブセントラル」。約150名が6名のグループに分かれ、「フードロス」「CO2削減」「絶滅危惧種」「海洋プラスチックごみ」「電子ごみ」「電気使用量の削減」「バーチャルウォーター」「森林破壊」「古着と環境」などのテーマを各自設定してポスターを作成し、ポスターを訪れた他の学生にむけて交代で2名がプレゼンしました。ポスターにはQRコードがあり、読み取ると、評価アンケートに接続する仕組みも。テーマの分析やポスターの完成度などの項目でお互いに評価しあっていました。

2023年5月25日(木)にシーベリーチャペルにおいて「平和の共同体として歩む〜メノナイト教会と和解の働き」というタイトルで対談セミナーが開催されました。主催はJICUFの助成金プログラムのひとつICU和解フォーラムで、平和研究所共催・宗務部後援のもと、30名近い学生、教員が集まりました。物理学の山崎歴舟准教授がインタビュアーとなり、国際法の専門家でありメノナイト神学校で学ばれたICU卒業生（35期）の片野淳彦氏からお話を聞きました。
The interview seminar, "Living as a Community of Peace: the Mennonite Church and the Work of Reconciliation" was held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Seabury Chapel. The event was organized by one of JICUF's grant programs, the ICU Reconciliation Forum, and was co-hosted by the Peace Institute Research and the patronage of the ICU Religious Center. A total of approximately 30 students and faculty members attended the event.ICU's Associate Professor, Rekishu Yamazaki, whose area of expertise is in Physics, interviewed Mr. Atsuhiro Katano, a 35th ICU alumni who studied at the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary and is an expert on international law.

本学教養学部3年の入口侑可（いりぐち ゆか、メジャー：人類学、マイナー：社会学）さんが 2022年度 第3回 SDGs「誰一人取り残さない」小論文コンテスト（主催：野毛坂グローカル）にて入賞しました。このコンテストは、SDGsの基本理念「誰ひとり取り残さない」という視点をすべてのSDGs活動や社会活動に反映すべきとの観点から、若者の自由な発想や提案、計画についての小論文や作文を求め、またその声を広く社会に発信することを目的として実施されたものです。
Ms. Yuka Iriguchi, a third-year student in the College of Liberal Arts at ICU, majoring in anthropology and minoring in sociology, was awarded a prize at the Third "SDGs 'Leave No-one Behind' Essay Competition" of AY2022 (Organizer: Nogezaka Glocal). From the standpoint that all SDGs activities and social activities should reflect the SDGs fundamental principle of leaving no-one behind, the competition's aim is to gather essays and compositions which feature the free ideas, suggestions and plans of young people and to subsequently transmit their voices to a wider public.

E-week最初のイベントとして、環境研究メジャーの藤沼良典先生が生物多様性の観点からICUの構内を歩くキャンパスツアー「ICU生物多様性ウォーク」を行いました。このイベントは、5月22日（月）のランチタイムに行われ、約40名の学生・職員が参加しました。約1時間、キャンパスの西側を中心に雑木林や竹林を散策しました。道中、藤沼先生から各エリアの生態系や大学がどのように手を加えているかに関する説明があり、参加者は熱心に耳を傾けていました。
As the first event of E-week, Prof. Ryosuke Fujinuma, teaching in the field of Environmental Studies at ICU led a campus tour "ICU Biodiversity Walk" around the ICU campus.This event took place during lunchtime on May 22, and was attended by about 40 students and staff. For about an hour, participants walked through wooded areas and bamboo groves, mainly on the west side of campus. Peacebuilding: A study tour of Okinawa

2023年3月15日（水）～17日（金）、本学のヴィンドゥ・マイ・チョタニ特任助教（政治学メジャーおよび社会科学研究所）が沖縄において平和について考えるスタディ・ツアーを主催しました。このスタディ・ツアーは日本国際基督教大学財団（JICUF）の助成を受け、学部科目PCS201 平和と人権を受講していた学生から選抜された7名が参加しました。
A peacebuilding study tour in Okinawa was organized by Vindu Mai Chotani (Assistant Professor by Special Appointment at the Social Science Research Institute and Department of Politics and International Studies, International Christian University), along with the support of project coordinator, Yuki Moritani (Research Institute Assistant, Social Science Research Institute, International Christian University. It was held between 15 (Wed.) and 17 March (Fri.), 2023, and attended by seven selected students from the undergraduate course 'PCS201 Peace and Human Rights'. This study tour was funded by the Japan International Christian University Foundation (JICUF).

2022年の3月に本学を卒業した 後藤 知美（ごとう ともみ、メジャー:心理学）さんと、本学 清水 安夫 上級准教授（専門分野：健康教育学、健康心理学 ほか）が、2023年3月に名古屋大学で開催された日本学校メンタルヘルス学会第26回大会にて、学部生時代に執筆した卒業論文が優秀と評価され、研究発表賞を受賞しました。
Tomomi GOTO (major: psychology), who graduated from ICU in March 2022, and Yasuo SHIMIZU (specialized fields: Health Education, Health Psychology, etc.), Senior Associate Professor of ICU, received a Research Presentation Award for Ms. Goto's excellent graduation thesis written as an undergraduate at the 26th Annual Conference of the Japan Association for School Mental Health held in Nagoya University in March 2023.

外交・国際公務員プログラム（DIPS）の枠組みで、国連研修が学生は対面、講義はハイブリッド形式の集中講座（大学院科目QPPI528 国連研修：持続可能な開発）として2023年3月10日、13～17日の約1週間、キャンパス内で開催されました。本来国連本部のあるアメリカ・ニューヨークを訪問し、現地での開催を予定していましたが、運賃高騰により、キャンパス内での開催となりました。国際機関で働きたい、又は関心があると考えている学部生、留学生を含む大学院生の計30人が参加しました。研修では、NY国連本部とナイロビ国連のガイド付きバーチャルツアー、国連本部・国連専門機関、外務省、現役在日大使、研究機関の方々など、14箇所から多様な視野・実務経験に富んだ専門家24人をゲスト講師に招いた講義と質疑応答が行われました。
The ICU-UN Seminar (GS course: QPPI528 United Nations Seminar on Sustainable Development) was held on campus under the auspices of the Diplomatic and International Public Service (DIPS) Program starting with the guided virtual tour at the UN Headquarter in NY on the 10th and another virtual tour at the UN Nairobi focused on Sustainable Forest Management in the mid-week. This year's Seminar benefitted from 23 lectures and interactive Q&A sessions from 13 to 17 March. It was an intensive course held in-person attended by 30 students, with speakers in a hybrid manner from 14 locations.

2023年2月24日三鷹市芸術文化センターにて、ウクライナ支援チャリティーコンサート～音楽と共に～が開催され、岩切正一郎学長とICUで学ぶ5名のウクライナ学生が招待されました。本演奏会は、ウクライナの人々が日々の生活や文化・スポーツを再び楽しむことができるよう、ウクライナ国の復興を強く願い、後押しするために開催されました。本企画の趣旨に賛同し、ステージにて素晴らしい演奏を披露くださった演奏家の皆様、観客として来場された皆様からの支援金をICUで学ぶ5名のウクライナ学生支援ためのご寄付として賜りました。
On February 24, 2023, "With Music", a Ukraine relief charity concert, was held at the Mitaka City Arts Center. ICU President, Shoichiro Iwakiri, and five Ukrainian students currently studying in ICU were invited to enjoy the concert.The concert was held as a result of a strong wish to support the reconstruction of Ukraine so that the people of Ukraine can once again enjoy their daily lives, culture and sports. The relief fund, which was raised by the musicians who supported this project and gave wonderful performances on stage, as well as the audience who attended the event, was donated to the five Ukrainian students currently studying at ICU.

7月1日（金）から2日（土）に開催されたジャパン・カップ国際法模擬裁判大会2022国内大会（主催：国際法学生交流会議、後援：外務省・朝日新聞社）に、本学教養学部3年の大澤彩さん（おおさわ あや、メジャー：法学、マイナー：開発学）、川上詩子さん（かわかみ うたこ、メジャー：法学・社会学）、服部翼さん（はっとり つばさ、メジャー：法学・社会学）、渡部葵さん（わたなべ あおい、メジャー：国際関係学）がICUチームとして出場し、渡部さんが弁論被告第4位、川上さんが弁論原告第9位、大澤さんが弁論被告第10位を受賞しました。
Aya Osawa (major: Law, minor: Development Studies), Utako Kawakami (major: Law and Sociology), Aoi Watanabe (major: International Relations), and Tsubasa Hattori (major: Law and Sociology), all third-year students at International Christian University, attended the Japan Cup International Law Moot Court Competition 2022 held in Japan on July 1 and 2 (sponsored by the International Law Student Exchange Conference and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Asahi Shimbun). They participated representing ICU, with Ms. Watanabe winning 4th place as a pleading defendant, Ms. Kawakami 9th place as a pleading plaintiff, and Ms. Osawa 10th place as a pleading defendant.

国際シンポジウム「アジアにおけるサービス・ラーニングの未来―ネットワーキングのための地域対話」を開催しました。本学サービス・ラーニング・センターは、サービス・ラーニング・アジア・ネットワーク（SLAN）とサービス・ラーニング・センター（SLC）の20周年を記念して、2022年7月2日に東ヶ崎潔記念ダイアローグ・ハウスおよびオンラインのハイブリッド方式で国際シンポジウムを開催しました。オンラインでは100名を超える申し込みがあり、国際会議場には、歴代センター長やコーディネータを含む本学関係者が集いました。

外交・国際公務員プログラム（DIPS）の枠組みで、国連研修がオンラインと対面のハイブリッド形式の集中講座（大学院科目QPPI528 国連研修：持続可能な開発）として2022年3月11日、14～18日の約1週間、キャンパス内で開催されました。本来国連本部のあるアメリカ・ニューヨークを訪問し、現地での開催を予定していましたが、COVID-19の影響により、キャンパス内での開催となりました。
The ICU-UN Seminar (GS course: QPPI528 United Nations Seminar on Sustainable Development) was held on campus under the auspices of the Diplomatic and International Public Service (DIPS) Program starting with the guided virtual tour at the UN headquarter on the 11th followed by 18 lectures and interactive Q&A sessions from 14 to 18 March. It was an intensive course held in a hybrid manner attended by 22 students including auditors.

2021年より、サービス・ラーニング・センター（SLC）は、日本国際基督教大学財団（JICUF）と連携して、地域コミュニティ支援のための「コモン・グッド基金（CGG: Common Good Grant）学生プロジェクト」を実施しています。本プロジェクトでは、ICU周辺の非営利団体に対し、JICUFより100万円の資金提供を行い、ICUとの連携や地域コミュニティの活性化を目指します。

2月11日（金）から13日（日）に開催されたジェサップ国際法模擬裁判大会2022国内大会（主催：日本国際法学生協会、ナショナルアドミニストレーター：柴田明穂神戸大学教授、後援：外務省）に、本学学生4名がICUチームとして出場し、学生委員特別賞を受賞しました。大会にはICUのほか、京都大学・上智大学・東京大学・東北大学・名古屋大学・北海道大学・立教大学・早稲田大学が参加しました。
Four students participated as an ICU team in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competiton 2022 held from February 11 (Fri.) to 13 (Sun.) and received the Student Member Special Award. 7月8日（木）、国際基督教大学（ICU）サービス・ラーニング・センターは、国際教養大学（AIU）と、学生のサービス・ラーニング（SL）活動の実施に関する覚書を締結しました。この覚書は、ICUの学生とAIUの学生が、東京都三鷹市と秋田県五城目町の2カ所で30日間の合同SLプログラムを行うことを目的としています。
On July 8, Service-Learning Center of ICU signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Akita International University (AIU) for the implementation of service-learning (SL) activities for students. The purpose of this MOU is for ICU and AIU students to conduct a 30-day joint SL program in Mitaka City, Tokyo and Gojome Town, Akita.

5月27日（木）、ICU SDGs推進室（室長：布柴達男教授・環境研究メジャー）のキックオフイベント、｢つくる責任、つかう責任：Virtual Worn Wear Workshop｣が、アウトドアブランドのパタゴニアとの共催で行われました。ICUでの留学経験を持つ、パタゴニア日本支社長のマーティ・ポンフレー氏。そして、ICUの卒業生、パタゴニア・サーフィン・アンバサダーの金子ケニー氏。そして、パタゴニア縫製スタッフの方々をお招きし、三部構成イベントとなり、80名ほどの学生が参加しました。

The UN Seminar benefitted from 23 guest speakers, of whom 16 gave lectures via Zoom from New York, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Cairo and Grenada and Japan while 7 guests gave lectures in person.
The first ICU UN Seminar （GS course: QPPI528 United Nations Seminar on Sustainable Development）under the auspices of the Diplomatic and International Public Service (DIPS) Program was held on campus from 15 to 19 March. It was an intensive five-day course held on a hybrid style attended by a total of 25 students including auditors. このプログラムは学生一人一人が主体性を持って学ぶ本学のリベラルアーツの体験を通して、無限に広がる学問の世界の一端に触れ、その学びの先につながる現実世界の課題に対峙できる次世代の育成を目指すものとして、高校1、2年生を対象に実施しているものです。 今回は、本学のリベラルアーツ教育、日英バイリンガリズムの環境を生かし、人文科学、社会科学、自然科学、学際的研究と幅広い分野から計4コース、日本語または英語での開講とし、本学の教育を体験できるものとしました。
This program is offered to 10th and 11th grade students to give them a glimpse into the infinite world of academia through experiencing ICU's liberal arts education in which each student learns on their own initiative. 3月19日（金）、本学は地元自治体である三鷹市と包括的な連携協定を締結することになり、三鷹市役所で締結式が執り行われました。今回の協定では、相互の資源や研究成果等の交流を促進し、活力ある地域社会の創造、協働による地域の課題解決、人財育成や相互の発展に資することを目的に締結されました。
On Friday, March 19, International Christian University (ICU) signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with the City of Mitaka, the local community, in a signing ceremony held at the Mitaka Municipal Office. The purposes of the agreement are: to promote mutual exchanges of resources and research results and others; to create a vibrant regional community; to resolve regional issues through collaboration; and to contribute to human resource cultivation and mutual growth.

3月29日（月）、国際基督教大学（ICU）サービス・ラーニング・センターは、長崎大学核兵器廃絶研究センター（RECNA）および公益財団法人長崎平和推進協会と、学生のサービス・ラーニング活動の実施に関する協定書・覚書を締結しました。この協定・覚書は、長崎でのサービス・ラーニングの継続的な実施と、平和の取り組みに関する相互的な協力関係を築くことを目的としています。今回は長崎と本学の会場をオンラインでつなぎ、リモートでの締結式を実施しました。
On March 29, International Christian University (ICU) Service-Learning Center, Nagasaki University Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition (RECNA), and Nagasaki Foundation for the Promotion of Peace signed the Basic Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the service-learning program. The purpose of this agreement and MOU is for the continuous implementation of the service-learning program in Nagasaki to build mutual cooperation on peace activities.
