Google Meet is a virtual classroom, meeting, conference and chat space. As a member of the Immaculata community, all Mighty Macs have access to this great tool and there is no need to install an application. Google Meet is totally browser-based. Only Google Chrome allows closed captioning. In order to be ADA compliant, faculty and staff must use Google Chrome for your Google Meet meetings in order to turn on the closed caption button.
Faculty and students can enter a unique Google Meet session by clicking on the Virtual Classroom tab as shown to the right and following the instructions published in the Quicklinks shown below.
Please remember to make sure you are signed onto your Immaculata University Google account and you are are using a computer, tablet, or smartphone with both a camera and microphone.
Trouble Shooting Hint: If you are having issues navigating these pages, it is likely you do not have your Immaculata Google account indicated as your primary log on during this session. Your IU account needs to be the primary and only to give you full access to the materials. Please log out of all Google Accounts and log back in using your IU credentials. Alternately, use this quick link below to do log out of all extraneous accounts and then log back in.
