Display captions of the person speaking so that participants who are deaf or hard-of-hearing can follow what’s said in video meetings. If you record a video meeting, captions are not recorded and don't appear when you play the recording. This feature is currently only available in English.
Hover toward the bottom of the meeting window. In the white pop-up bar, click CC Turn on Captions. A pop-up bar will appear on the left side of the screen confirming your action.
Hover toward the bottom of the meeting window. In the white pop-up bar, click CC Turn of Captions. A similar pop-up bar will appear indicating captions have been turned off.
NOTE: If you record a video meeting, captions are not recorded and don't appear when you play the recording. Please note, closed captioning is not retained in the videos. Should you wish to upload the video to your Individual Personal Mastershell or term course, videos must first be converted to YouTube using the procedure published in the Faculty Resource Center titled Making ADA Compliant Videos with Closed Captioning.
