Ph.D. student Gayatri Panda (Advisor-Dr. Arjun Ray) has been selected for the Senior Research Fellowship offered by the Council of Scientific & lndustrial Research- Human Resource Development Group.
Prof. Angshul Majumdar (Salsa Lab - Angshul Majumdar) is honored as a ScholarGPS Highly Ranked Scholar. He is placed in the top 0.05% of all scholars worldwide, which puts him 5th in contribution to Compressed Sensing in lifetime contributions, along with professors from top US universities.
Ph.D. student, Madhuvani Yella (Advisor- Dr. Praveen Priyadarshi) has received a full sponsorship to attend the '7th RC21-IJURR Doctoral School in Comparative Urban Studies' at the University of Chile, Santiago de Chile from 14 to 26 July 2024.
Dataquest T-School Ranking 2024 is out and we are happy to announce that IIIT-Delhi has been ranked 3rd in the Top T-Schools in India (overall) and 2nd in the North Zone.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 is out and IIIT-Delhi has been ranked 451-500 in the subject- Computer Science and Information Systems.
We are delighted to announce that Professor Debarka Sengupta has been awarded the prestigious Humboldt Research Fellowship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany. This award will facilitate active collaboration and research stays at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, furthering his group's research in computational cancer genomics.
We are pleased to announce that Nischay Malhan (IIITD Alumnus, B.Tech. ECE, Class of 2017) has won the National Creators Award 2024 in the 'Gaming Category'. The Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi presented the award during the ceremony held on 8th March 2024.
Research
IIIT-Delhi and AIIMS-Delhi have signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel Corporation of India Ltd towards financial support for a joint project titled ‘Peripheral Blood Smear Investigator (PeBSI): an AI-assisted Solution for the Differential Diagnosis of Peripheral Blood Smear’.
The Centre of Excellence in Healthcare at IIIT-Delhi signs a memorandum of understanding with the India Health Fund (IHF) to establish a strategic partnership for a collaborative healthcare ecosystem, launch joint programmes for particular technological themes like digital health research and innovation, and support startups through incubation, among other things. This collaboration, facilitated by DRIIV, promises to revolutionize healthcare.

PhD student Nazreen Shah, Prachi Goyal (B.Tech alumni), & Dr. Ranjitha Prasad (faculty) presented the paper titled "Importance Sampling Based Federated Unsupervised Representation Learning" at the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP 2024), Seoul, Korea, 14~19 April 2024.
PhD student ZUBAIR SHABAN, alumni Pooja Kumari, and faculty Dr. Ranjitha Prasad presented the paper titled "OVER THE AIR FEDERATED LEARNING IN THE PRESENCE OF IMPULSIVE NOISE" at ICASSP 2024 in South Korea.
Paper titled "Online Learning Based Multi-RIS-Aided Wireless Systems" by Ishaan Sharma (PhD, DTU), Dr. Rohit Kumar (Faculty,DTU) and Dr. Sumit J Darak (Faculty, IIIT Delhi) is published in IEEE Systems.
Paper titled, "WiLiConnect: A Novel CSI Sharing Technique in Hybrid WiFi/LiFi Networks," by Saswati Paramita, Dr. Arani Bhattacharya, Prof. Vivek Ashok Bohara, Prof. Anand Srivastava has been accepted for presentation at VTC2024-Spring.
Paper titled "Analysis of Handover Rate and Coverage Performance of Mobile Users in UAV Networks" by Neetu R, Dr. Gourab Ghatak, Prof. Vivek Ashok Bohara, and Prof. Anand Srivastava is accepted in VTC Spring 2024.
We are pleased to announce that the patent titled "A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RESOURCE OPTIMISATION OF ACCESS NETWORKS" by Akshita Gupta, Prof. Vivek Ashok Bohara, and Prof. Anand Srivastava has been granted by the Indian Patent office.

Collaborative Workshop On Agenda for Humanities Initiative 2024 Annual Symposium on March 28th, 2024 at IIIT-Delhi.
Recently, a group of students from IIIT-Delhi visited STMicroelectronics in Greater Noida to experience the industry environment and explore their research work. The visit was organized by Ms. Sana Ali Naqvi (Research Engineer, IIIT-Delhi) in collaboration with Mr. Alok Mittal (Guest Faculty, IIIT-Delhi).

Sports Council of IIIT-Delhi celebrated the spirit of sports with a full day of events and games for faculty and staff of the institute.

Research Innovation and Incubation Showcase (RIISE)
The NSS IIIT-Delhi, in collaboration with RIISE, conducted 'The Blood Donation Camp on 15th and 16th March 2024, which was a great success. The camp saw an overwhelming zeal and unparalleled enthusiasm from the students, faculty members and staff.
The Placement & IOP office at IIIT-Delhi organized the "Global University Fair” on 12th March 2024 on campus. The purpose of the event was to give the students useful information regarding opportunities for higher education globally.
IIIT-Delhi Well-being Cell organised a special workshop for the officials of the Institute addressing a common challenge- work-life balance: achieving a balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being. Led by Ms. Archita Sobti, a seasoned Clinical Psychologist, the session commenced with an insightful video highlighting the significance of work-life balance and the obstacles encountered in maintaining it.
Outreach
Prof. Pankaj Vajpayee (Dean of Corporate Relations & Entrepreneurship, IIIT-Delhi) was invited as a Technical Session Chair at a National Conference on “NURTURING STARTUP AND ENTREPRENEURIAL CULTURE IN VIKSIT BHARAT@2047: CONQUERING CHALLENGES AND EMBRACING OPPORTUNITIES” sponsored by the Northern Regional Centre (NRC), Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
Dr. Tavpritesh Sethi was invited at the International Patients’ Union Conference 2024 as an expert at the interface of computer science and healthcare.
Dr. Gaurav Arora (Faculty, IIIT-Delhi) has been invited to deliver a public lecture on the topic 'Heterogeneous crop yield impacts of agricultural credit- Evidence from India' at the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
