Research work, ASHA: Towards Robust Suicidal Risk Assessment on Social Media, with collaborator Di Jin from MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), got accepted at the prestigious Journal of the American Medical Info. Association (JAMIA), #2 for Medical Informatics globally!

Research findings from the Ph.D. work of Sidhartha Sankar Rout supervised by Dr. Sujay Deb, titled "Efficient Post-Silicon Debug Framework for Network-on-Chip" won the ACM SIGDA Best Student Research Forum Award (Most Popular Poster) at 26th Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference (ASP-DAC) 2021.

The Research findings from the Ph.D. work of Sidhartha Sankar Rout supervised by Dr. Sujay Deb, titled "Efficient Post-Silicon Debug Platforms for Future Many-Core Systems" won the First Prize in the Student Research Forum of 34th International Conference on VLSI Design and 20th International Conference on Embedded System

#IIITD student Aniket Gupta (B.Tech, ECE) is among the cohort of top 19 Indians selected this year to join the global network of 'Ashoka Young Changemakers' who have launched their own initiative and created positive change in their communities.

students Royal Tomar (CSD, 4th year), Rohan Rajpal (CSE, 4th year), and Srijan Jain (CSD, 3rd year) have been selected for Devfolio's Build India Fellowship (BIF) and have received a $5000 equity-free grant along with mentorship and support for 6 months to work on their B2B mobile application SevaShop which helps service-based businesses build their online stores in just 15 seconds.

Dr. Shireen Mirza (Faculty, #IIITD) has been awarded a 6 months fellowship at the International Centre of Advanced Studies: Metamorphoses of the Political (ICAS:MP), New Delhi, in its Thematic Module “Labour as a Political Category”.

A film "Acceptance" by our alumnus Sahil Yadav (ECE Department, IIIT-Delhi, #Classof2020) under the guidance of Prof. Anoop Ratn (Faculty, #IIITD) secured 3rd Place in "Animation Favorite Category" and won the "Audience Favorite Award" in the US-based film festival called " ESMoA Video Art + Film Festival". The award was recently delivered to him.

Dr. Tavpritesh Sethi (Faculty, #IIITD) has been announced as the winner of CXO Health Excellence Award 2021 for his achievements in healthcare IT management and innovations.

Research work on Hardware Security from Advanced Multicore Systems Lab was presented and won the Third Prize at Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Virtual Presentation Conclave (IVPC) 2020.

Invited Talks

Dr. Gayatri Nair and Dr. Paro Mishra along with Dr. Anindita Majundar (IIT Hyderabad) gave a seminar talk on the topic 'Risky Lives and Amplified Precarity: Labour Configurations under Covid-19' at the Department of Liberal Arts, IIT Hyderabad on 24th February 2021.

Dr. Ganesh Bagler (Faculty, CCB at IIITD) was invited to speak at the World Information Architecture Day (WIAD) 2021 on the topic “Computational Gastronomy: A Data Science Approach to Food”.

Prof. Manohar Khushalani (Faculty, #IIITD) & Mita Vashist (Indian Actress) conducted Master Class in Film Pedagogy Workshop during Khajuraho International Film Festival.

Events

2-day FPGA workshop for BTech 3rd and 4th-year students along with working professionals. Dr. Sumit Darak was the resource person for the workshop. The students also got hands-on experience of working with FPGA.

The Urban Research Lab - IIIT Delhi organised the first seminar of Citisque-The Urban Seminar Series by Dr. Pravesh Biyani (Faculty- ECE Department, IIIT-Delhi) on ‘The Urban Mobility Challenge’. The talk will look into the success, failures and limitations of this product/market framework.
