Taking the Stage with Confidence

In this ECA, students will develop storytelling and public speaking skills to influence and inspire others with clarity and confidence.

What students will learn and practice:

• Impromptu speaking and preparing a speech on a topic they care about

• Using content and characters to emotionally engage their audience

• Mastering tone and body language to enhance communication

• Structuring a speech with a clear and inspiring message

• Relaxation and focus techniques to manage stage fright

• Divergent and convergent thinking to speak freely and effectively on the spot

• Voice warm-ups to improve clarity and vocal confidence

By the end of the semester, students will be able to overcome their fear of public speaking and deliver a powerful, inspiring speech to an audience.

Parents will be invited to attend the open house during the final session.

Prendre la parole avec confiance

Dans cette AES, les élèves développeront des compétences en récit (storytelling) et en prise de parole en public, afin d’influencer et d’inspirer les autres avec clarté et assurance.

Ce que les élèves vont apprendre et pratiquer:

• La prise de parole improvisée et la préparation d’un discours sur un sujet qui leur tient à cœur

• L’utilisation de contenus et de personnages pour toucher émotionnellement leur auditoire

• La maîtrise du ton et du langage corporel pour renforcer leur communication

• La structuration d’un discours autour d’un message clair et inspirant

• Des techniques de relaxation et de concentration pour gérer le trac

• La pensée divergente et convergente pour s’exprimer librement et efficacement à l’oral

• Des exercices d’échauffement vocal pour améliorer la clarté et la confiance vocale

À la fin du semestre, les élèves seront capables de surmonter leur peur de parler en public et de prononcer un discours puissant et inspirant devant un auditoire.

Les parents seront invités à la séance portes ouvertes lors de la dernière session.
