The video is mostly about a man who was helping people escape from the chaos that was happening. They shut down public transportation so the boat operators were helping rescue half a million people stranded at water's edge in 9 hours. They also did trips back and forth taking people off the pier.
These boat operators were normal people that got into action very quickly. The video made me feel that anybody could help anyone at any time. Someday you will need to act fast no matter what is going on because you might save some persons.. So I think all these boat operators that saved everyone are the real heroes. This is how I felt when I watched the video.

Bonu,
You expressed yourself so beautifully. You realized the life lessons in this video. Mr. Downes recommended it to me. I had never seen it and had no idea how many were rescued by the boats.
I know visitors to our site who read your review will want to see this video.
Thank you for contributing to this project .

I think the boatlift video showed a very determined action that defined the heroes of 9/11. The people outside the burning Towers tried to go as far away as possible, but the smoke was traveling fast. If it wasn’t for the boats, many people would have been trapped at the site, with no way to get to safety. We continue to thank the heroes until this day.
-Abeeha Imran
I love the way, Abeeha, you remember to be grateful for the success of the heroes.
Thank you for writing this.
Dr. Rose
It was so heartbreaking seeing that amount of people suffering from smoke, but also it made me so happy seeing that these people on boat taking the people who were suffering out of lower Manhattan. I never actually knew that there was boats involved with the 9/11 rescue which is crazy and something new that I learned. People were running for their lives. I knew that there was smoke, but I didn’t think the smoke was THAT thick at the same time. Now I know how hard it was for people to breath that air.
Moriam,
I,too, had no idea of the numbers rescued by the boats. Teaching this project with videos really added to my knowledge as an adult of what happened that day. I notice how seeing the video helped you grasp the feeling of breathing in that ash saturated air.
Bravo and thank you for this work.
Dr. Rose
Watching the video made me realize what people are willing to do for each other at a time of need. Without any experience, so many boats pulled up which is veryheroic. The boat operators didn't care about their lives or boats. They justcame to help which is very amazing. These people are true heroes.

Ammar,
You beautifully grasped what the key lesson was coming together to help!! May we all apply this lesson to our lives.
Warmly,
Dr. Rose
