Counselor

The MS counselor is an advocate and a support service for all students. The counselor works in three domains within ICS; academic, personal/social and careers. The counselor is responsible for the development of the Advisory program in collaboration with the grade level teams, creates and delivers the child protection curriculum, manages individual behavior plans and handles student schedule changes at the start of the semesters. The MS Counselor leads group sessions with students on grief, self-regulation, impulsivity, and empowerment. Many students transition in and out of ICS every year, the counselor not only works one on one with them but, they also lead the MS Peer Ambassador program where students help new students adjust to ICS when they arrive. The MS Counselor is an integral part of the program at ICS.
