(EN) Human image exhibition at CaixaForum
Today, September 19, the students and two teachers from the Cooperative Group kicked off the field trip season for Bellvitge Institute by going to CaixaForum (link: https://caixaforum.org/ca/barcelona) in Barcelona.
We enjoyed a guided tour of the exhibition on how the human figure has been represented throughout history in different cultures. The boys and girls participated actively, asking and answering questions posed by the guide.
Afterward, we walked to the Barcelona Botanical Garden, where we strolled in the shade of the magnificent trees in the park.
With this activity, the institute aims to adopt the motto of European Mobility Week - (link: https://territori.gencat.cat/ca/03_infraestructures_i_mobilitat/sem/index.html) (September 16-22) “Combine and move!” which emphasizes the intermodality of transportation methods and encourages us to move sustainably for the benefit of our health and the environment.
In the upcoming classes, the students will write a blog post for the Cooperative Group about how they felt during the activities we carried out, both individually and with their group mates. Additionally, they will calculate the CO2 emissions that would be produced by taking the same route using different types of transportation. Finally, they will create a digital infographic on sustainable transportation.
This outing is also part of our Erasmus project 2023-24, which aims, on one hand, to promote students' emotional well-being and social integration through their contact with nature and participation in cultural institutions in the area, and on the other hand, to raise awareness of the need to take care of the environment.
