Do we care?
A PROJECT TO DEVELOP STUDENTS' EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING THROUGH A BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL HEALTH MODEL
The activities, workshops, visits, and excursions are designed to promote the well-being, sense of belonging, and social cohesion of the students at our school.
The entire educational community of the school will be part of the project, which will last from now until January of the next school year (2024-25). There is an Erasmus committee of teachers from various subjects within the school, and the class tutors will also play a significant role!
How will we do it?
We are committed to taking care of school materials and facilities, reducing energy consumption (lights, water, electricity, etc.) as well as resources, especially plastic and aluminium foil.
This means that, little by little, teachers and students will start bringing their snacks in cloth bags, reusable containers, etc. Parents will also gradually adapt to these changes. Each classroom will also have a plant that we will need to water—without overwatering it.
We believe that by doing this, we will have a clean playground. And if everyone does the same, we will have a healthier planet, and we’ll feel better, too!
We promote a sustainable and healthy diet.
More vegetables and fruits from nearby, please!!!
The Llobregat Delta is very fertile land, where artichokes (with certificate of origin), pumpkins, and many other vegetables that are good for us are grown.
And why do this? Well, to take care of our health! If we eat what is nearby, which is healthy and good, and reduce our consumption of sugar and red meat, we will suffer fewer physical and mental disorders related to diet!
Furthermore, by doing this, we will also take care of the planet we live on, which is so beautiful and gives us so many good things!
We promote contact with nature and participation in cultural activities.
To get to know our surroundings, we will go on a trip to the Llobregat Delta and the agricultural fields, where we will take photographs that will be exhibited at the Bellvitge Cultural Center. We will also paint the wall of the playground that faces the square with nature-related themes.
We believe that if we enjoy the nature that is close to us, we will love and take care of it, and this will make us feel good about ourselves and also among each other. We want to share this through art.
In this journal, students will record their actions to make their lives greener.
EXAMPLES: When we go on a trip or outing, students will note their emotions related to nature, themselves, and others; there will also be a record in the green journal of the reflections made during discussions or debates in class; finally, it can also be used to keep a regular record of the snacks brought to school as well as the packaging used.
