Ecobenches in the Courtyard

Throughout the 23-24 school year, with the help of some teachers and Mònica from the cafeteria, we’ve collected a lot of plastic—free from other waste—generated in our daily activities. The idea is to compress these plastics and pack them into empty one-liter plastic water bottles from the cafeteria.

Why all this? With these, we’ve made "eco-bricks," bricks made from recycled material! Our plan is to build a bench for the school courtyard using these eco-bricks. All we need is a bit of cement to give it strength.

Next, we'll cover the bench with a mosaic tile design to make it truly beautiful. Oh, and we students will also design and fire the ceramic pieces in our kiln. But that’s still in progress!

For now, as part of our KA122 project, we’ve already discovered that we can create art from recycled materials!
