We regularly hold book fairs at Hylands Primary throughout the school year in order to promote reading for pleasure. Parents will be informed when a scholastic book fair will be visiting the school. Each class gets the opportunity to browse the wide selection of books and parents are able to purchase books at the end of the school day or through the ordering section of the scholastic website.
Every book purchased in one of our book fairs earns essential credit for the school to purchase books to use in the classroom!
During our book fair in the autumn term, we raised over £1000 to spend on books for our pupils!
Wow what a fantastic reward we received from our book fair!
This reward was split between each class across the school who ordered books for their book corners from their class wishlists.
