Understanding by Design™ Pilot: process and learning

This playlist articulates the purpose of the Understanding by Design pilot in 2023 - 4 schools in Pembrokeshire were involved (Gelliswick, Manorbier, PDCS and Tenby).  Alongside reflections of those involved in the pilot, it begins to introduce practitioners in Wales to the principles of backward design.  It is expected that a further 20 schools will have the opportunity to undertake the programme in Autumn 2023.

UbD thinking may also inform a useful approach to reviewing a curriculum and its impact on learner progress.
