These supporting materials have been produced to support curriculum design within schools and settings.

They build on the Curriculum for Wales guidance and new school improvement guidance, and set out practical support for curriculum development, quality assurance, and self-evaluation.

Assessing Learner Progress

This supporting material provides information, prompts, and guides on the development of assessment arrangements in the Curriculum for Wales. 

Self - evaluation and improvement: learner progress

This guide provides prompts to support evaluating learner progress in school evaluation and improvement arrangements. This complements the Non-statutory school improvement guidance ‘School improvement guidance: framework for evaluation, improvement and accountability’ and the ‘national resource: evaluation and improvement’.

CAMAU Assessing for the Future 

CAMAU Assessing for the Future is a package containing a handbook, which provides essential information about the use of the resource, and six workshop sessions for you to undertake. This resource has been produced for use by practitioners, schools and settings to develop your capacity and skills related to assessment as you engage with the ‘Curriculum for Wales guidance’.
