Welcome to SNRB, our teachers this year are Mrs Colcombe and Mrs Everson. There are also lots of familiar staff, Mrs Porter, Mrs Brown, Mrs Yearsley, Mrs Smith, Mrs Dowling and Mrs McCoy and two new staff have joined our team this year, Mrs Williams and Miss Griffiths. We are all looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
This term our topic is called 'Into the Woods' which focuses on well known stories and tales as stimuli for teaching and learning. During Autumn 1, we will use the stories 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and 'The Gruffalo'.
All our learning experiences will be delivered in a multi sensory approach with an underlying focus on communication and wellbeing.
We will also be exploring our Forest School on a Friday, so a pair of wellies to stay on pegs would be greatly appreciated.
This term we have been busy exploring the stories of Little Red Riding Hood and Peace at Last (Mrs Everson's favourite story!). We have also explored the Winter season.
We had a fantastic time on our school trip to The Arc Soft Play at Victory Church and can't wait to return soon!
We have had other lovely experiences including riding balance bikes and a sensory afternoon hosted by one of our parents.
We would like to say a big thank you to Willow's Mum for raising funds and making a personal contribution towards purchasing two 'Spinning Chairs' which our children are greatly benefiing from to support their regulation and sensory needs.
