Used to refer to something that is being done, mostly used with verbs of giving, showing, or telling
Translated as “to/for ______”
Examples:
Caecilius cibum cerbero dat. (Caecilius gives food to Cerberus)
Litterās ā tē mihi stator tuus reddidit. (Your messenger delivered to me a letter from you)
Hostīs in fugam dat. (He puts the enemy to flight)
