This year the Hubbard High School Art department made their usual paper mache project and with the tremendous support of Mr. Ray Soloman (HES principal) and Ms. Toth (HES Art teacher) we were able to do a joint art project including grades 1-4 and 10-12. Mr MacMillan’s high school students created the life sized minions and elementary students had a drawing contest in Ms. Toth’s art classes. The winners were chosen by the members of Mr. MacMillan’s National Arts Honor Society. “We chose one winner in first and second grade, and another winner between grades three and four, along with 4 other winners. The best in each group received a minion made like their drawing, bag of candy, crocheted hat of a minion made by Mrs. Sandy Moss of Niles, having their picture framed, and a certificate of congratulation for each student. The other four winners received certificates and a bag full of candy along with having their drawings matted and framed by the high school.”
Additional thanks to the elementary teachers and administration, we delivered the kids their prizes on Halloween. Below are the images of the winners.
