So we decided to make Large scale cardboard relief versions of Picasso's with a twist on school spirit. Thank you to everyone who sent in paint, we definitely put it to good use. Scroll down to see how we went about making these large scale pieces.
First everyone had to choose one of the three paintings and sketch out what they were going to change.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once everyone drew out their ideas it became time to cut out shapes based on the areas they wanted to make pop from the painting.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then came the real adventure, painting........paintings.......and painting some more.
GUERNICA, 1937

Before we finish to make them sit flat we have to flip them, paint them and let it set and dry overnight with weight to make sure the cardboard doesn't buckle.
