Classroom Rules
1. Follow directions the first time given.
2. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
3. Stay seated unless you have permission to get up.
4. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
5. No put downs.
Consequences
Students need to know what will happen if they decide not to comply with the classroom rules. Every effort will be made to assign a logical consequence to infractions. However, a few set consequences will occur when needed. All consequences will be given and served swiftly and consistently.
Serious Offenses to persons or property:
If the offense is to another person, a letter of apology will be written. The student will also be written up formally.
If the offense is to property, repair or restitution will be made. Student will also be written up formally.
Less serious offenses:
1st occurrence- Student will receive a warning and be informed of specific consequence of given action.
2nd occurrence- Student will be assigned a consequence logical to the offense (clean floor in cafeteria for throwing food, re-doing sloppy work, etc.)
3rd occurrence- Teacher and student will make a phone call to parents about repeated misbehavior.
4th occurrence- Student will lose special privileges and conference with teacher and principal about continued misbehavior.
