Drug Take Back
Please DO NOT attempt to leave unwanted or expired medications unsecured in the vestibule.
The Holliston Police Department, in conjunction with the DEA "Drug Take Back" Program and Med-Project, has a prescription drug take-back kiosk conveniently located our station lobby.
This allows for a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs. The kiosk is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I have to remove labels containing name/address and drug information?
No, it is not necessary to remove labels. All information is kept confidential and safely secured. Items are then incinerated at time of disposal.
Can I place sharps and/or needles in the kiosk?
No, unfortunately our kiosk is not designed to accept any sharps or needles. This includes epi-pens, syringes, etc.
Where can I dispose of sharps and/or needles?
The FDA recommends a two-step process for properly disposing of used needles and other sharps:
Step 1: Place all needles and other sharps in a sharps disposal container immediately after they have been used. This will reduce the risk of needle sticks, cuts, and punctures from loose sharps. Sharps disposal containers should be kept out of reach of children and pets.
Step 2: Dispose of used sharps disposal containers according to your community guidelines. Sharps disposal guidelines and programs vary depending on where you live. Check with your local trash removal services, Holliston Board Of Health, or your local Health Department to see which of the following disposal methods are available in your area: Drop Box or Supervised Collection Sites, Household Hazardous Waste Collection Sites, Mail-Back Programs, or Residential Special Waste Pick-Up Services
