Hello everyone! Sorry I have not made any new posts recently about doing technology pickups, college applications and scholarships have been taking up most of my time these past two ish months. Now that I finished, I am now able to spend more time on doing more technology pick-ups.
Thank you all for that have spread the word of me doing this it has helped so much, and for all of those that were asking about the website I have been setting up, it is finally up! It still needs work to be done on it, but it has contact information if you prefer other ways of communication along with a Google form. The website link is down below this.

I have now expanded to fixing devices (Phones, Laptops, Desktops) and doing data recovery only some devices, but reach out, and I can tell you if I can or can not.
My name is Owen Griffin, and I’m a senior at Holliston High School with a passion for technology. I have been working with the school district's tech team for the past three and a half years, repairing laptops, projectors, problems they had that required 3D modeling, Along with setting up devices of all sorts. This year, I’m hoping to expand my passion for tech to the Holliston community.
If you have any old or unused tech lying around—items you’re not sure how to dispose of properly—I'd love to help! Normally, people would need to pay to recycle or sort through these items, but for me, it is something I genuinely enjoy doing tinkering with it all.
Items I’m Happy to Take (Working or Broken):
— Laptops and Desktops
— Tablets and Smartphones
— Keyboards, Mice, and Cables
— Small Household electronics
Items I Can’t Take:
— Large Appliances (Refrigerators, CRT TVs, Microwaves)
— Batteries (Unless inside a device)
— Hazardous Materials (CRT Monitors)
In addition to collecting tech for recycling or tinkering, I might also be able to assist with minor tech issues if I have the time. However, I am a full-time student, there may be times when I can’t respond or assist right away.
If you are interested in donating unused tech or need help with something in particular, feel free to reach out! I do not know how many people I can help, I am sorry if I can not get to you. Thank you for helping to keep tech out of landfills in Holliston.
If you don’t have any technology to give, if possible, please spread the word to friends and family! I want to help as much as possible!
Had a IPhone 6s given to me to recycle
Did data recovery on one of the hard drives. The two monitors were given a second life. The rest was taken apart and recycled
Took data off of 2 hard drives that had died before. Data was partially corrupted, was able to restore it.
Screen replacement on the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G and replaced the backplates adhesive.

DJI Mavric Mini Drone
New Gimbal
New Camera Cable
New Power Button
Taken Apart and Recycled:
24” iMac Desktop (2011)
13” Mac Laptop (2013)
42” LG Smart TV
14” Acer Monitor
Epson Flatbed Scanner
Other Assorted Cables and Technology
1x - Windows 98 Desktop ("Sleeper Build" PC Project)
1x - Gen 2 IPad (Scrapped & Recycled Properly)
2x - MacBook Airs (Testing, Wiping, and Giving Them Away)
8x - Old Laptops (Scrapped & Recycled Properly)
I spent Monday (1/27/25) afternoon taking them all apart and sorting them into their metals and plastics, while taking the e-waste and taking it apart as much as I can. I put the metal and plastic into the recycling bin. Likewise, I am thinking about dividing them up and dropping the metal off at the Holliston Recycling center. The e-waste I divided up into their components, where later I will sell the CPUs, Memory, and Other parts containing value. The other parts, I will also later sell as well, keeping everything as eco-friendly as possible.
This is a repost from what I sent before but altered a little and a thank you!
Thank you all for meeting up with me and handing all of the technology. I have been able to build a home server, a server for my friend, upgrade parts in a few friends pcs and properly recycle the rest of the technology! I upgraded to a better laptop I use daily now! Thank you all so much!
