Suicidal Thoughts

Suicide is a major public health issue, both in England and globally. Each year, people of all ages and from all walks of life die as a result of suicide. Many more experience suicidal thoughts at one time or another.

People often refer to the ripple effect caused by suicides, where friends, families and communities who are left behind struggle to understand and make sense of their loss. The impact of one person's death spreads across the networks of everyone they were connected to.

Yet suicide is preventable. Most suicidal people don't want to die; they simply don't want to live with the pain they experience any longer.
