If counselling has been sought and further private counselling is needed, school has the capacity to fund a set amount of this. A discussion with the Head Teacher will determine need on a case by case basis.

Phased Returns / Reduced Timetables

School is dedicated to ensuring that Staff who are returning to work after absence, get to do so with as much care and consideration as possible.
Reduced timetables and a phased return offer staff a safety net so that they are not overwhelmed when returning and feel supported in their role.

Socialising with Colleagues

Once every term, there is a staff meal at a local restaurant called 'Spice Lounge' that serves Bangladeshi and South Asian cuisine. Here, staff are able to socialise and get to know each other without having to talk or think about work.
It is not compulsory, but it is a great opportunity to develop friendships and get to know each other a little better.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a great way to stay informed about current school news. The groups created provide useful platforms for interaction, celebration and to stay connected to one another.

Some of the Group chats available are: Whole School group, Lunchtime Supervisors group, TA group, Phase groups, MHFA group, HLTA group, SLT group, etc...
There is no obligation to be a part of these chats/groups, however they can be very useful.

Well-being Days

Well being days have been offered in the past and accrued over time by completing extra hours throughout the term. For Teachers and SLT, this has generally been through twilight training sessions. For support staff, this has generally been in the form of running a club (before school, during lunchtime or after school).

Cakes & Samosas

Phase leaders have been inventive in boosting morale for their Teachers and Teaching Assistants by creating 'Cake Friday', 'Cake Wednesday' or 'Samosa Day'.

These days are great as a treat for ourselves for all of our hard work, or even a chance to get baking at home and share our talent with our team!
