Regular cancer screening is important to detect cancer early which is your best chance to beat cancer. Glens Falls Hospital provides breast exam and mammogram screening, cervical cancer screening, lung cancer screening, skin cancer screening and colorectal cancer screening. Our Cancer Center also administers a New York State Department of Health program that provides free breast exams, free cervical cancer screening and free colorectal cancer screening to women 40 to 64 years of age who do not have health insurance coverage. HIV Test Counselors at Public Health offer Anonymous and Confidential HIV Advance Rapid 1/2 Antibody counseling and testing by appointment, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Please call 518-746-2400 to make an appointment.

The C.R. Wood Cancer Center provides a number of cancer awareness and educational programs for adults. We provide programs in breast cancer awareness, cervical cancer awareness, ovarian cancer awareness, skin cancer awareness and cancer risk reduction. The goal of these cancer awarenessprograms is to increase the participant’s awareness of various types of cancer and to increase the utilization of cancer screening measures by patients.
