McDonough Middle School is entering an exciting winter athletics season with basketball, wrestling, and cheerleading leading the way. Student-athletes have been preparing with intensity and focus, and the community can expect competitive matchups, improved teamwork, and strong school spirit throughout the season. With talented rosters and committed coaches, MMS is poised for a winter filled with growth, grit, and memorable performances across all programs.

Wrestling: Coach Howard, Coach Cofield, Coach Smith, and Coach Phillips bring a balanced mix of technical knowledge and motivational leadership, working to refine technique and build mental toughness.
Girls Basketball: Coach Johnson and Coach Page lead a team focused on discipline, ball movement, and defensive pressure as they work toward a strong season.
Boys Basketball: Under the guidance of Coach Jones and Coach B, the boys team emphasizes fundamentals, chemistry, and competitive play.
Cheer: Coach Pye and Coach Howard cultivate a program centered on teamwork, precision, and school spirit. Their squad plays a major role in energizing the gym and supporting all winter athletics.
Each program is building momentum and creating a positive experience for student-athletes on and off the court.
