Eagle's Landing Middle School is gearing up for an exciting winter athletics season, highlighted by the return of both girls and boys basketball. This year’s teams are showing strong early momentum, and the community can expect competitive matchups, improved team chemistry, and a high level of effort from student-athletes who have been working hard during preseason training. With growing interest and energy around the winter sports program, fans can look forward to spirited games and continued program development.
The girls and boys basketball programs are led by Coach Gordon and Coach Plummer, who bring dedication, knowledge, and a passion for developing young athletes. Under their leadership, both teams have focused on fundamentals, teamwork, and maintaining a competitive mindset. The girls team has already shown significant improvement, setting the stage for a promising season, while the boys team continues to build on a strong foundation.
One of the most anticipated events of the season is 8th Grade Night on January 22nd, a special evening honoring the contributions and leadership of our eighth-grade student-athletes. Families and fans are encouraged to attend and celebrate these players as they take the court in one of their final middle school competitions.
Jayce Oliver (8th Grade, Boys Basketball): Jayce is poised to be a standout this season with his strong court awareness, leadership, and ability to make plays in crucial moments.
Marayah Scarlett (7th Grade, Girls Basketball): Marayah continues to impress with her work ethic, defensive intensity, and growing confidence as a young leader on the team.
Jayce Oliver (Boys Basketball) earns this month’s recognition for his consistent improvement, strong commitment to his team, and outstanding performance during preseason preparation. His leadership and competitive drive make him an essential part of the program.
